Job Description:
Bidvest International Logistics invites unemployed youth to participate in the 2024/2025 YES (Youth Employment Services) Programme. This 12-month initiative, in partnership with the government, aims to reduce youth unemployment in South Africa by providing valuable work experience in the Transport and Logistics industry.
Responsibilities
- Work full-time for 12 months, contributing to daily operations within the Transport and Logistics sector.
- Assist various departments to gain hands-on experience and industry insight.
- Maintain professional conduct, being accountable and responsible for assigned tasks.
- Show punctuality and commitment throughout the internship.
Qualifications
- A completed Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Age: Between 18 and 34 years.
- Must not be currently enrolled in any academic studies for 2025 or participate in any studies during the Programme.
- Must not have participated in the YES Programme with any other company.
Experience
- No prior work experience is required.
- An interest in the Transport and Logistics industry is essential.
Skills
- Self-reliance with a proactive attitude.
- Determination and commitment to complete the full programme.
- Ability to take accountability and manage tasks independently.
- Basic computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Good communication skills, particularly in English.
- Strong time management and punctuality.
