Position Purpose:
The purpose of the UKZN Internships is to offer practical work experience that complements academic learning. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily administrative tasks and support within assigned departments.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of projects and initiatives.
- Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports as needed.
- Support team members with various tasks and responsibilities.
- Participate in meetings and contribute ideas to ongoing projects.
- Maintain and update records, files, and databases.
- Help with event planning and coordination as required.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
Education:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at UKZN or another accredited institution. Relevant fields of study may include Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
Experience:
- Previous work or internship experience is a plus but not required. This program is open to students who are eager to gain practical experience and learn from industry professionals.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic research and analytical skills.
