Job Overview
The National Consumer Commission (NCC) is pleased to announce its Internship Program for 2024/2025. This program offers recent graduates and current students an opportunity to gain valuable experience in consumer protection and regulatory affairs. Interns will be engaged in various activities across different departments, including legal, research, and communications, to develop practical skills and industry insights.
Position Purpose
The purpose of the NCC Internship Program is to provide interns with:
- Hands-on experience in consumer protection and regulatory processes
- Exposure to the workings of a national regulatory body
- Development opportunities through practical, real-world projects
Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will be involved in a variety of tasks, such as:
- Assisting with research on consumer rights and regulatory issues
- Supporting the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation
- Helping with data analysis and trend identification
- Participating in meetings and contributing to project discussions
- Engaging with the public and handling consumer inquiries
Education
- Recent graduates or students in their final year of study in Law, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Strong academic performance is preferred
- Coursework or projects related to consumer protection or regulatory affairs is advantageous
Experience
- Prior work experience is not required
- Any relevant internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work in related fields is a plus
- Demonstrated interest in consumer protection and regulatory issues is essential
Skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Basic understanding of consumer protection laws or regulatory processes is beneficial
