ERWAT (East Rand Water Care Company) Internship is excited to announce vacancies for our Internship Trainee Program for 2024. This program offers a valuable opportunity for recent graduates to gain practical experience in the water and wastewater management sector. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on training and exposure to key operational processes within ERWAT.
Position Purpose
The purpose of the ERWAT Internship Trainee Program is to provide recent graduates with practical experience and a deep understanding of water and wastewater management. This program is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, helping participants develop essential skills for a successful career in the environmental and water care sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with daily operations and administrative tasks within the assigned department
- Participate in water and wastewater management projects and initiatives
- Conduct research and data analysis to support departmental needs
- Support team members with various tasks and assignments
- Prepare and present reports on assigned projects
- Attend meetings and provide input based on research and analysis
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of activities and projects
- Collaborate with other interns and departments to achieve common goals
Education Requirements
- Recent graduate or final-year student in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Water Management, Civil Engineering, etc.)
- Degree or diploma from a recognized university or technical institution
Experience Requirements
- No prior work experience required
- Previous internships or part-time work in a related field is advantageous
Skills Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
