Position Purpose
The Cathsseta Internship Programme is designed to develop well-rounded individuals with the potential to become future leaders within the Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport (CATHSS) sectors. Interns will rotate through various departments, gaining exposure to Cathsseta’s operations and contributing to meaningful projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Cathsseta staff with research, data analysis, and administrative tasks relevant to the assigned department (e.g., Learning Programmes, Human Capital Management).
- Participate in the development and implementation of CATHSS-related projects and initiatives.
- Contribute to the maintenance and updating of Cathsseta resources and communication materials.
- Attend industry events and workshops, gaining a broader understanding of the CATHSS sectors.
- Work collaboratively within assigned teams, supporting departmental goals and objectives.
Education Requirements
- A recently completed National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, B-Tech Degree, or Honours Degree in a field relevant to the CATHSS sectors (e.g., Business Administration, Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Arts Management).
Experience Requirements
- No prior experience is necessary; however, relevant coursework, volunteer work, or extracurricular activities in the CATHSS sectors will be considered favourably.
Skills Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new software programs.
- A passion for the CATHSS sectors and a desire to contribute to their growth and development.
- Attention to detail, a proactive and results-oriented approach, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
