Job Overview
The Department of Science and Innovation Internship is offering an exciting internship program for the 2024/2025 period. Position Purpose
The internship program aims to provide interns with practical experience and exposure to various aspects of science and innovation. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to projects and initiatives that support the Department’s mission to foster a culture of innovation and enhance the national science and technology landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the research and development of scientific and technological projects.
- Support the planning and implementation of innovation programs and initiatives.
- Conduct data analysis and compile research reports.
- Prepare presentations, technical documents, and other materials.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas and feedback.
- Engage with stakeholders, including researchers, innovators, and industry partners.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating events, workshops, and public outreach activities.
- Perform administrative tasks and support the daily operations of the department.
Education Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s program in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Innovation Management, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance in relevant courses.
Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in scientific research, technology projects, or innovation initiatives is advantageous but not required.
- Demonstrated interest in science, technology, and innovation.
Skills Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
