The Foschini Group (TFG) internship is delighted to offer exciting opportunities for the 2024/2025 season in South Africa. Position Purpose
The purpose of the TFG Internship Program is to offer young professionals the chance to gain practical experience in various aspects of the retail business. Interns will collaborate with experienced professionals, contributing to key projects and gaining insights into the operations of one of South Africa’s leading retail groups.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in daily operations across multiple departments, including Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Supply Chain.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and execution of business strategies.
- Conduct market research and data analysis to support departmental projects.
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
- Engage with customers and provide support, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives.
- Perform administrative tasks and support department-specific activities as required.
Education
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Previous internship or work experience in retail or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated interest in the retail industry through coursework, extracurricular activities, or relevant projects.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
