Position Purpose
The purpose of the Jacaranda FM Internship Program is to provide practical experience and training in the radio and media industry. Interns will be involved in different operational areas, including content creation, production, and marketing, helping to support the daily functions of a leading radio station.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist with the production of radio shows, including scriptwriting, recording, and editing.
- Support the content team in developing engaging and relevant material for broadcasts and social media.
- Participate in the planning and execution of on-air promotions and events.
- Help with research and data collection for show topics and audience engagement strategies.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as organizing schedules and managing communications.
Education Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- No prior experience is required; however, any relevant experience or coursework in media or broadcasting is a plus.
Skills Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of media production and broadcasting equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
