Job Overview: Omnia is offering an in-service training program for 2024 designed to provide current students with practical, hands-on experience in the chemical and agricultural industries. This training opportunity will enable participants to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings, gaining valuable industry experience and skills that are essential for their future careers.
Position Purpose: The purpose of the Omnia In-Service Training Program is to provide students with practical exposure to the operations and processes within Omnia. The program aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice, helping students to develop a deeper understanding of their field of study while contributing to the company’s ongoing projects and operations.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assist with operational tasks in relevant departments, including production, quality control, and supply chain management.
- Support project teams with research, data analysis, and reporting activities.
- Participate in routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, as applicable.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Provide administrative support, including document management, report preparation, and scheduling.
- Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative projects as required.
- Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Education:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Chemical Engineering, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Must be in the final year of study or have completed relevant coursework that aligns with the in-service training.
Experience:
- No prior professional experience is required; however, academic projects, practical assignments, or previous internships related to the field will be considered advantageous.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of chemical processes, agricultural practices, or environmental management is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
