Position Purpose:
The purpose of the SLR Consulting Internship Program is to offer hands-on experience and professional development to students pursuing careers in environmental science, engineering, and related fields. Interns will support various consulting projects, contribute to research and analysis, and gain valuable insights into the consulting industry while assisting SLR in delivering high-quality solutions to clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the research, analysis, and reporting of environmental and engineering projects.
- Support project teams with data collection, site assessments, and technical evaluations.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on project progress and strategies.
- Help with administrative tasks and coordination of project activities as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the successful execution of project goals and deliverables.
Education:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
- Minimum academic standing of a 2.8 GPA or equivalent.
Experience:
- Prior internship experience or project work in a relevant field is advantageous but not required.
- Exposure to environmental or engineering projects is beneficial.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant software tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
