Smollan is excited to announce its Explore HR & Finance Internship Programs for 2024. Position Purpose:
The purpose of the Smollan Explore HR & Finance Internship Program is to provide students with hands-on experience in HR and finance functions, helping them to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application. Interns will support various HR and finance teams, contribute to operational tasks, and gain a deeper understanding of how these functions support the business’s strategic objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Support finance tasks such as budgeting, financial reporting, and data analysis.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Help with HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records and preparing HR documents.
- Participate in project teams and provide support in HR and finance-related initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks and projects.
Education:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum academic standing of a 2.8 GPA or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous internship experience or relevant project work in HR or finance is advantageous but not required.
- Exposure to HR and finance principles through academic projects or coursework is beneficial.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial software tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
