Summer Global Internships, Cape Town 2024 is excited to offer its Internship Programme for 2024. Position Purpose:
The UCT Internship Programme aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical work experience. By participating in this program, interns will gain insight into the workings of a leading institution, enhance their professional skills, and build a network of industry contacts. The internship is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily operational tasks and administrative support within assigned departments.
- Participate in project planning and execution, providing input and support as needed.
- Conduct research and analysis to support ongoing initiatives and projects.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
- Provide support for event planning and coordination activities.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
Education:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant undergraduate or graduate degree program. Fields of study may include but are not limited to Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.
Experience:
- Previous internship or work experience in a professional setting is advantageous but not required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
